meet Abby

Abby Duran is a narrative strategist and spoken word artist committed to those seeking value while transforming anger into art. She is recognized by Charleston Scene as one of Charleston’s Most Influential Women in the Arts.

Her path began in music journalism over a decade, including Charleston’s 9 to 5 Magazine. With a background in arts management, she shifted from entertainment to biographies.

Through her company, VeraNation Writing, Abby crafts business profiles and poetic branding that solves who you are, who you serve, and how you impact.

Abby mentors young writers through Berkeley Center for the Arts and ClearPillar’s college prep program. She continues to engage her community as a member of Sisters in Song, OhmRadio 96.3, Charleston Business Exchange, board member for North Charleston POPS! and as Music Director for Creative Mornings Charleston.
